Winter Carnival

This weekend we headed up to McCall for their annual Winter Carnival.  People come from all over and make these amazing snow and ice sculptures for the contest.  There were sculptures all over the town, but the winners were unbelievable.  The theme this year was fantasy on ice.

Grand Prize Winner
The Grand Prize went to this awesome castle that you could walk through and play on.  It was complete with a moat, a bridge, a dragon, a knight, a king and queen, and slides and tunnels.  This was definitely our favorite.

First Place Winner
The First Place winner was also amazing.  It was a castle on top of a forest.  There was so much detail on all the layers of trees with faces on the bottom.
Second Place Winner
Candy Land
I don't now if this one was a winner but we really liked it.  It was based off the game Candy Land and it had lots of fun things to walk through and look at.

Here are a few more random ones that we saw around town.  There were a ton of big Dragon sculptures and I didn't get any shots of them, sorry.
We must have done a good job of wearing our kids out because this is what they looked like on the drive home.

I also need to give a shout out to my little sis Erica.  We tried her Wingers Sticky Fingers recipe from the Favorite Family Recipes blog for the Superbowl and they were amazing!  They taste exactly like the real thing.  Me and Beau were both commenting how we never need to go to Wingers again now that we know how to make the sauce.  They put the same stuff on their wings and sandwiches, and mix it with ranch for their dressing.  It was sooo good and so easy to make.  We definitely recommend!

That is amazing. I've never seen anything like it. We are making our pros and cons list for all the places we might end up. That is a definite pro for Boise:):):)

Cool ice sculptures!

Any news on the gender of your baby yet? And what is your due date exactly?

I am due June 20th. I am over 20 weeks right now but I don't know what the baby is yet because my first doctors appt. is this Thursday and they wouldn't schedule the ultrasound until I met with the doctor first. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Wow Beau, I never knew you had it in you. I know you're being all humble and not admitting to that grand prize ice sculpture. That's cool, but hey, I know it was you. No one has as steady of a hand as you. Way to go Walker!
