Incident #1
Yesterday we were down in St. George for Labor Day and everyone decided to go to the dollar theatre. First of all, I knew this was probably not going to work with Porter but I thought that I would give it a shot since I had no where else to go. There were so many people there! Porter, for those that don't know him well, hates being around lots of people. We got into the theatre and it hadn't been cleaned from the previous show, there was popcorn and spilt pop everywhere where we were sitting. Then the movie started 20 minutes late, Porter was fussing this whole time. They overbooked the theatre and there were people sitting on the floor next to us that were very unhappy. When the movie finally started Porter calmed down but about 30 minutes into it he really started throwing a fit so I hurried and rushed him out and we drove around in the car until everyone else was done.
Incident #2
After the movie everyone decided to go to Fizoli's for dinner. I got Porter in his high chair and went and ordered some Pizza for him and Echo. I got back to the table and had just started to cut the Pizza into pieces when Porter threw up everywhere! He completely soaked himself, the high chair, the floor, and some of the table. My Mom helped me strip Porter down and wash him in the bathroom sink then we went next door, with Porter in nothing but his diaper, to buy him something else to wear. We got him dressed, back to the restaurant and in his high chair again sipping some water when he totally spewed again, completely soaking the new outfit. I took him out to the car and in his car seat and he threw up again in the car. I took him back to my sister's house and gave him a bath and got him in his jammies from the previous night and headed back to Cedar. Luckily my Dad drove so I could help Porter and he threw up consistently about every five minutes on the way home. By this time there wasn't much left in his tummy so he was mostly dry heaving. This went on until about midnight last night. Today he has been doing a lot better. He is holding down fluids and has just wanted me to hold him.
Incident #3
Tonight I was down in my room and Echo came downstairs to ask me a question. She said, "Mom, what if you accidentally called someone and you didn't want to talk to them so you hang up the phone and then they call you back?" I of course ask, "Who did you call?" and Echo says, "Oh, just no one." I just dropped it and left it at that. A little while later the doorbell rang and Echo hid under my laundry hamper. I didn't know what she was doing but my Dad came down the stairs to tell me the Police were here responding to a 911 call. Echo immediately starts crying and we took her upstairs to meet with the Police officer. He was really nice and talked to Echo for a little while, then went on his way. Then me and Echo had a long talk. My parents then had a lot of concerned neighbors that called and came over that they had to explain nothing was wrong to.
I am ready for things to start to calm down now.

911 story is classic.
Threes, fours, dozens... Yeah, parenting is kinda like that. We've had police show up on our doorstep more than once.
Yeah, you will definitely look back someday and maybe laugh, but I completely understand that it won't happen right now :):)
I love hearing about your kids. I can totally picture Echo hiding in the hamper, how funny.
Hahahahahha...
Ok! we are not having kids now...
One other note...
I have noticed that parents seem to prefer that the police come by for a visit over a DCFS worker... Sooooo you still have that to look forward too.
Em's I hate to tell you this, but bad thing happen in 7's! At least they did in our family! No joke in one year we had 3 major appliances break, I rolled my car. Paige broke her arm and had to have a plate put in, I caught my arm on fire and the very last thing that happened that year was Gram-ma Walker dying. So hold on girl you might be in for a wild ride yet!
I would say that you are having the best of luck!!!! That is too funny that Echo called 911....kids are so funny!!!!
Also you have been Bag Tagged! :)
Isn't it weird how when you know your child is about to throw up, you hold out your hands and try to catch it? I am picturing you doing this at the restaurant, twice, and then in the car the whole way home. Poor Porter! I hope he feels better soon.
And it is wonderful that Echo knows how to dial 911, in case of an emergency.
We're missing you guys. Mason starts pre-school with Miss Sonja on Tuesday!
My daughter called 911 too. The police were very nice. Moses was more traumatized than the girls, and it happened while he was at school. He only heard about it. But he is very nervous about accidentaly calling 911.
You poor girl, that was a rough day. Your blog is always so cute, & so are your kids. I hope you've had a few better days since this one.
That stinks..

Are you excited to go see Beau this weekend?
