2012 - A Year In Review

I actually have to start by back tracking a little into 2011.  We were so excited to have my parents as well as Elise and Kevin join us up in the Boise area.  Here are my parents in front of their new home.
We had a nice Christmas last year.  We had an awesome Chinese dinner for Christmas Eve - a Walker tradition that we made all my family do - they loved it :)
My parents snuck over the next morning to see the kids open their presents.
Echo got a surprise gift of the ipod she had been begging us for, she was so excited!
In January we went up to the Winter Carnival in McCall

Piper didn't let the winter months keep her from jumping on the trampoline.
I don't think two little girls could be any sweeter.

In the spring we had a fun visit from Paige and Carter.  We decided to check out the new Boise aquarium.

In April we had a bunch of the Edwards family visiting for Easter.  We had a massive family Easter egg hunt at the park.  All the kids got an overload of Easter eggs.

A few weeks later Beau surprised me with a fun weekend in Portland.  We went to these beautiful Japanese gardens, rented bikes and rode up and down the river, and ate amazing food.  But the highlight of the trip was seeing Coldplay!!  Most amazing concert ever!

In May I was able to go on a really fun trip with my sister-in-laws where we got to see Justin and Elsie's beautiful home in Wisconsin, then spend a few days touring Chicago.  I love that city!  I had so much fun with awesome girls and soaking in such an interesting and beautiful place.

Echo played spring and fall soccer this year.
This was Echo's end of 3rd grade Around the World program  (Echo is in the spider costume)

Piper turned 3!  Will someone tell this girl to stop getting bigger?

Earlier this summer, Erica and Jared and their little girl Andie came to live in Boise while Jared took the bar and looked for a job.  Their baby Gracie also joined the fun in August.
Piper's birthday was also the same day as the Dairy Days Parade

Once again we got pranked by the Young Men in our ward.  I honestly preferred this to all the signs I had to return last year.
I got to go to Girl's Camp!  I got called to be the camp director and it was such a fun time.  We have the most amazing young women!

My niece Madison came with us too, it was especially fun for me having her there.
Echo turned 9!  Have I mentioned that this girl is the best?  She helps her mom so much!
Beau took his Young Men up to northern Idaho/Spokane area for high adventure.  They biked the Hiawatha and had an amazing time.

We spent a week in McCall and had lots of fun with Justin and Elsie.  Urban and Piper were being so funny in the car and then both zonked out.

In August Beau got to see Justin when he was in Wisconsin for a work conference.  They had lots of fun biking together.

Echo started the 4th grade
One of the funnest things we did this year was running the dirt dash.  I actually did a race every month from June to November.  Echo did 3 of them with me, which was super fun for me!  She is actually really fast, she kicks my trash.

Porter turned 7 this year!  This boy has his mom and dad wrapped around his little finger.  We would literally do anything to make him happy.  He is so sweet, fun, and patient in his disabilities.
We spent a fun day checking out the Bruneau sand dunes.

In September, after many previous months of work putting it together, our cookbook came out!
Here is the cookbook at Costco, so exciting!
In October I tagged along with Beau to his P.A. Conference in New Orleans.  What an awesome, interesting, history rich place!  We had such a great time exploring and eating amazing food!

We visited this plantation on our last day, beautiful!

And now that catches us up to November.
I wish I had taken some pictures but we had a fun Thanksgiving at our home with Paige and Devan and Steve and Mary Ann.  Thursday morning me and Echo ran the Turkey Day 5K followed by a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.  We had a jam packed day Friday at the nature center, camel back park, and Christmas lights at the botanical gardens.  Beau and Devan also went to a hockey game after that.

I did it!  An entire year!  I am officially caught up!
